Upcycle with Stampin’ Up! products

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

We love green tea and often try different flavours/brands. Recently we tried Lipton Jasmine tea. Inside a big box, tea bags were packaged in small boxes then foiled. The size of small boxes is similar to the boxes/baskets I made for Christmas gifts (chocolate & candy cane) last year. I thought using these Lipton tea boxes will save me time & material, while making use of what would otherwise be waste.

I used ‘My Friend’ stamp set on white paper, a small heart and a small Itty Bitty flower to decorate the 1st box. Colours are Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. The lid is made from new designer paper stack (available from 2 July).

I used ‘Gingham’ wheel stamp to create the gingham paper for this 2nd box. ‘Happy Halloween’ sentiment is from ‘Delightful Dozen’ stamp set. I drew the bat & hand cut it.

The 3rd box is decorated using ‘Tag It’ stamp set & ‘Gingham’ wheel stamp and added a few stars made from silver glimmer paper.

I used ‘Owl Occasions’ stamp set (retired) to decorate the back of this box.

For this 4th box, I used ‘Betsy’s Blossom’ and ‘Blooming Marvellous’ (Sale-a-bration freeby early this year) stamp sets. I added a handle to turn it to a basket. I decided to use it to store my ink refills etc. I love soft colours, but they are actually not as pale as appeared in the photos.

I decided to simply use the pretty ‘Gingham Garden’ paper (available from 2 July) to cover the 5th box. The lid is made from ‘Just Add Cake’ paper (retired).

Tape It – Notepad cover

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

This is another decorating a notepad project. I always have a few decorated notepads handy to be given as gifts or when the one I am using get finished.

I often received comments that my notepads are pretty and unique. Some wanted to know where I bought them from. When I proudly responded that I made them myself, some people even asked if I would sell them. Have I got you engaged?

Here is my today’s notepad cover

Tape It notepad cover 1

I used ‘Tape It’, one of my favourite new stamp sets (will be available from 2 July), to create the picket fence. The cute little birdie & flowers are from ‘Best of Everything’, which unfortunately will only be available until 30 June.

I sponged the top part with soft sky colour and it still looked a bit empty so I added the words ‘just’ and ‘note’ on the banners using ‘Notable Alphabets’ stamp set.

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

Today’s project is a quick and easy notepad folder.

Front cover…

Notepad folder - hearts 1

I cheated a little…I used black contact (instead of cardstock) for the folder’s spine to save me time to glue it on. As I mentioned, this folder is meant to be a quick and easy one!

‘God is love’ card with Gorgeous Grunge background – for Case Study #145

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I made this card to participate in the Case Study challenge, my first challenge since I started doing paper crafts! Here is the card layout for this challenge

Case Study 145_zps46fd3510

…and here is my participating card.

God is love card 1 for CS 145

Card background: I used ‘Gorgeous Grunge’ stamp set in new in-colours, Crispy Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, and Strawberry Slush. For Strawberry Slush, I first stamped on the scrap paper and then on the card without re-inking to create a softer look.

Centre piece: I used ‘Gingham’ (wheel) and ‘Tape It’ stamp sets for the banners, ‘Trust God’ for the sentiment, and ‘Hello Lovely’ for the little arrow. I sponged the background piece underneath the scallop circle with Crispy Cantaloupe and the frame with Coastal Cabana, and then used Essential Paper-Piercing Pack to decorate around the frame.

Finishing touch: I used Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the larger heart and the background, Crystal Effects for the smaller heart and Baker’s Twine for the little arrow.

God is love card 2 for CS 145

Apart from ‘Trust God’, the rest of stamp sets I used for this card will be available from 2 July.

Box for gift tags – Stampin’ Up! new in-colours

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I’ve made a little box to hold the four gift tags that I made this morning. It will be a thank you gift for a friend of mine who is always supportive. I usually like to make boxes with lids, but a couple of weeks ago I came across a criss-cross box you tube by Tanya Bell and was inspired. It only needs half A4 card stock to make. Here is the link to Tanya Bell’s you tube.

And here is my version of the criss-cross box.
