Happy birthday, Matt

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

Today’s project is a birthday card for my colleague, Matt.

Actually Matt’s card is in Pistachio Pudding. I made it Thursday night and gave it to him on Friday, didn’t have a chance to take photos. So I made another one this morning, using the same design, but in Pool Party.

Petal Parade notecards

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

Another project we made during my last craft class was a simple, but bold & bright notecard, again using ‘Petal Parade’ (free stamp set during Sale-a-bration).

Petal Parade card 1

I use ‘Cheerful Treat’ DSP for the background. I saw many beautiful projects made out of the ‘Cheerful Treat’ DSP and I fell in love with this set, but it was already retired when I joined Stampin’ Up!. When I saw it on the clearance rack, I immediately grabbed two sets. Beautiful papers made it so much easier and fun to create.

We made an envelope for the notecard too.

Petal Parade – card in a box

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

Card in a box is quite popular right now, so I included as one of the projects in my craft class last Sunday.

Peta parade in box subtle 4

I used ‘Petal Parade’ and ‘See Ya Later’ (two of the four gorgeous free stamp sets during sale-a-bration).

I didn’t have the matching ‘Sweet Sorbet’ DSP at the time I made this card (I do now – can’t miss because it’s so pretty), so I used the ‘Cheerful Treat’ DSP, which I got from the clearance rack for the bottom part and used the smaller flower stamps on ‘Brushing Bride’ paper for the top part.

I want the butterflies to look as if they fly in the air so I used the acetate strip to hold them.

On the back I made a pocket to insert a message – this is so that the recipient can recycle (resend) the card to others if he/she wishes.

I also made one using ‘Gingham Garden’ DSP and bright colours, but I like the subtle colours more.

I am not sure who first came up with this ‘card in a box’ idea, but the first one I saw and was so inspired was that made by Tanya Bell. Tanya has measurements for the card that will fit in the C6 envelope. I have lots of envelopes for 5″ x 7″ cards in my stash, so I made my cards bigger.

Sending Love – Valentine card

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I love the concept of having tiny little envelope on a card, so I try making one. I used it as one of the three projects of my fifth class last Sunday.

Sending love 1

The size of the envelope is smaller than the smallest one the Envelope punching board can help, so I used the scoring board with the simply scored diagonal plate. I filled the envelope with lots of hearts…

Sending love 2

and added a large heart stamp from the retired ‘Perfectly You’ hostess stamp set.

Sending love 3

Recipe
Paper: Whisper White, Brushing Bride, Baja Breeze, scraps of various DSPs
Stamp: Perfectly You
Ink: ‘Staz On’ black
Rest: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Adorning Accents embossing folder, Twine, small heart punch

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner, I made this heart shaped basket as a Valentine gift.

I learnt how to make cute paper roses at the Avid_Inkers get together last Tuesday, and was so excited to use them to decorate my basket.

I filled the basket with Ginseng tea that I bought from Korea last September.

Happy Watercolor – thank you cards

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I needed a thank you card for my colleague who kindly peer-reviewed my 382 pages report and did a great job within a short timeframe.

I used ‘Happy Watercolor’ stamp set, which was on the top of my ‘must have’ list from the new Occasional Catalogue.

Happy Water color 1

Paper – white, bake brown sugar and pistachio pudding. Ink – bake brown sugar, strawberry slush and soft sky.

The ‘so very much’ stamp is from the retired ‘Outlined Occasions’ stamp set.

Happy Water color 2

Although I only needed one card, I ended up making two as I enjoy using this stamp set a lot. I kept this second card very simple.

Happy Water color 3

Paper – white and wisteria wonder. Ink – wisteria wonder, black, brushing bride.

The little butterflies stamp is from ‘Make a cake’ stamp set.
