My new notebook

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka

A new financial year is approaching and there are so many things to do. To help me keep track of things, I have started a new notebook – to jot down all key items that need to be done and when they need to be done by. And as always, I have to decorate my notebook.

Since I am pretty busy, I kept it simple. I let beautiful designer paper does the main job and added just a little touch to it.

notebook 2

While this notebook is not meant to include details, I added pockets here and there in case I need to keep notes on some loose paper pieces. I also made a few thin notepads and inserted in the pockets in case I need to add more notes for some of the work.

Baby, we’ve grown gift tag

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka

Today I am preparing a gift for a colleague who is expecting next month. I haven’t made a card yet, but here is the gift tag for the gift bag.

Baby we've grown gift tag 1

I used Stampin’ Up! ‘Delicate Doilies’ for the background of the tag, ‘Baby, We’ve Grown’ for the owls and ‘Itty Bitty Banners’ for the sentiment.

Baby we've grown gift tag 2

I used the other three stamps from ‘Baby, We’ve Grown’ on the bag, can’t see the stamp images very well on the photos as I used very light colours (soft sky and brushing bride). The daffodil delight images don’t look too bad.

Good bye Anne

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I made this farewell card for Anne, my dear colleague who has decided to take VR.

Good bye Anne 1

Well, while I am a little sad to say good bye to Anne I am also happy for her as she is moving on to a new chapter of her life. The card probably reflects my mixed feelings.

On the left, I stamped and wrote the word ‘good bye’ in five languages, English, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai and German.

Good bye Anne 2

On the right, I have a message ‘good luck’ for Anne in a shaker frame.

Good bye Anne 3

Anne is very passionate about her work. Her intelligence and hard work yielded so many valuable outcomes. I will miss her a lot.

Acorn mini sketchbook

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I used the ‘stripes’ designer paper that I created from a stamp, which was left over after making a card, envelope and mini notebook for Deb, to decorate this mini sketchbook.

I stamped the cute smiley acorns (from ‘Into the Wood’ stamp set by Lawn Fawn) on vellum and added onto the striped background piece. The acorns are already so cute, so I didn’t even attempt to colour them.

This is the back of the book.

Peaceful Flower birthday card

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I made this birthday card for a friend, Deb. There are many things I love about this card, using acetate sheet, creating my own ‘stripes’ designer paper from a stamp (I’m quite proud of myself for being that patient stamping it line by line), using gold embossing powder and the large flower stamp.

Peaceful flower bday 1

I coloured the flower using a blender pen and ink pads. I wrote the message behind the stripe paper piece.

Peaceful flower bday 2

I made a (sort of) matching envelope and a little notebook to go with the card.

Flower Shop notepads

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

I have two more notepad projects to share (and still have some more left in the stock!). I made a folder for the one on the right, but only a cover for the one on the left.

Flower shop notepad cover & folder

I love the ‘Flower Shop’ stamp set and the matching ‘Pansy’ punch. They make things so easy for me to create pretty stationary/gifts. As these are meant to be quick and simple projects, I teamed them up with washi tape and journaling card.

but with pockets inside, of course.

Love you to the star

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka, Stampin’ Up! ® Independent Demonstrator, Canberra

Yesterday I tried making a few stencils and now I tried the stripe one on a card.

Love you to the star card 1

For the background, the three stripes were made using sponge, Wisteria Wonder inkpad and the stripe stencil I made and stars were from a star stamp in ‘Banner Blast’ stamp set.

The two tags were made out of white paper, one sponged with Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose and the other with Coastal Cabana. The sentiment & rocket stamps are from ‘Love you to the Moon’ stamp set.

Love you to the star card 2

I added two washi tape on the left of the tags and a few stars on the inside of the card.
