Mini pocket album pages – part 3

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

I used white cardstock for pages 5 to 8. There is no pocket for these pages.

Page 5 – similar to the mini treat bags I made two weeks ago, I used various stamps (Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals, Best Day Ever, Sheltering Tree stamp sets) to create pattern on the white cardstock. The text ‘love’ is from Love You to the Moon stamp set and the rest of the text is from W Plus 9 Hand Lettered Thanks stamp set. Little hearts were cut using a die in Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.

Pages 6 & 7 – I left them almost blank for the photos, just added one heart each. The hearts were also cut using a die in Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.

Page 8 – I just love this big butterfly die.

I added a window sheet embossed with Flower Garden embossing folder in between this page and the next page (will be posted in part 4).

Mini pocket album pages – part 2

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

I decided to use a variety of materials, rather than just the brown packing paper, sizes and shapes for pages in this mini album. Stampin’ Up! Smokey Slate coordination cardstock is used for today’s two pages.

– Stamp on smooth side with a line stamp from Mama Elephant Confetti stamp set (you can use any stamps to create any patterns you like)

– make scallop edges using Stampin’ Up! large scallop edgelit die

– fold both ends to create two pockets on opposite side of each other

Page 3 – decorate the pocket with a butterfly (using Stampin’ Up! Butterflies Thinlits Dies)

Mini pocket album page 3a

For the tag insert, I used Stampin’ Up! From the Garden and Sheltering Tree stamp sets to create pattern in soft colours on the white cardstock and used white vellum to create a pocket for photo or message.

On the other side of this tag insert, I decorated with From the Garden stamp set and matching Handpicked Framelits Dies.

Butterfly Basics – HBD Matt

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

Today’s card is a happy birthday card for my colleague, Matt. I used Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics stamp set and butterflies thinlits dies.

HBD Matt 1

The second generation of the fern stamp didn’t come out well on the Natural White cardstock. I didn’t have time to fix or re-do the card and the butterflies are so beautiful, making everything else forgivable.

Stampin’ Up! Party Time – Canberra

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

My dear friend, Lynn Padman, kindly invited me to Stampin’ Up! Party Time in Canberra last Saturday. I had a lovely day catching up with Lynn and also met a few friends from Avid Inkers group. The displays were so amazing and I made wow! noise several times. For some of the artworks, I still cannot figure out how they are made. Stampin’ Up! is a super talent community.

We were asked to make our own name badges. Here is mine (with lots of flowers).

I forgot to carry a camera. My ipad doesn’t have a flash so the photos didn’t come out so well. Here are some of them.

Mini pocket album pages

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

I have a few mini pocket albums pages to share. I used Stampin’ Up! brown packing paper to make these pocket pages. I am making this album for my daughter and my plan is to include messages in addition to some space for photos.

Page 1 – I used Stampin’ Up! ‘Best Year Ever’ DSP, ‘Hello Love’ stamp set, doily and washi tape to decorate the pocket; and sale-a-bration ‘Best Day Ever’ stamp set and ‘Best Year Ever’ DSP for the insert.

Thank you so much Lynn

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

Today’s post is all about expressing my thankful heart to my dearest friend, Lynn. I made a few tea towels, a gift bag to carry the tea towels and a thank you card for her.

Thank you card – I used Stampin’ Up! ‘Love is Kindness’, Mama Elephant ‘Sentimental Borders’ (front) and W Plus 9 ‘Hand Lettered Thanks’ (inside).

Gift bag – I used two full sheets of 12” x 12” Smokey Slate coordination cardstock for the bag body, then decorated with white and orange cardstock, ‘Best Year Ever’ DSP and two butterflies made using Stampin’ Up! Butterflies Thinlits Dies.

Tea towels – I used templates from ‘Art to Heart’ books by Nancy Halvorsen for all the applique images. The tea towels are wrinkly from handling during sewing and I forgot to press them before taking photos.

I don’t know how to thank Lynn enough. Every stitch and stamp is filled with my thankful heart to her.

Tags – as mini pocket album inserts

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

I have been making a few tags from scrap paper lying around in my craft room. Some of them will be used as traditional gift tags. But I plan to use some of them as mini pocket album inserts.

Tag 1 – I used the fern stamp from Stampin’ Up! ‘Butterfly Basics’ stamp set and the message ‘I love you’ is from Mama Elephant ‘In my Heart’.

Mini pocket album 9

Tag 2 – I used the sentiment stamp from Stampin Up! ‘Painted Petals’, butterflies thinlits dies and ‘Best Year Ever’ DSP. The butterfly is actually in wax paper that I used to make it easy to remove the cardstock butterfly from the framelit. It is too pretty to be thrown away, so I used it here.
