Another Birthday Book

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

It has been quite a while since I made a bigger project than a card. Today I started making another birthday book, which will be given away as a gift. The first birthday book I made can be found here part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5 and part 6.

Similar to my first book, it will probably take me a few weeks to finish this one, but I want to share what I have made so far. Here is the book cover, using Botanical Blooms stamp set and Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.

Birthday Book 2a

Birthday Book 2b

I used Floral Wings hostess stamp set for the vase and Birthday Blooms for the flower on January divider page.

Birthday Book 2c

Birthday Book 2d

For February divider page, I added white embossing paste over the circle stencil on Flirty Flamingo cardstock, added black Swirly Scribble and a few flowers.

Birthday Book 2e

I used slightly thick (120 g/m2) colour print/photocopy paper for the pages. I stamped the pages with Stampin’ Up! Writing Notes background stamp.

Birthday Book 2f

And here is the divider page for March on which I stamped a large flower and a butterfly (Versamark & silver embossing powder) using Best Thoughts hostess stamp set.

Hello You Thinlits Dies

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

I made another quick water-colouring card this morning. This time I used the current Stampin’ Up! ‘Elegant Eggplant’.

Hello You Thinlits Dies a

The word ‘happy’ was die-cut using Hello You Thinlits Dies. The leaves and Elegant Eggplant flower are from Watercolor Words stamp set. I used 1 ¼” scallop circle and Petite Petals punches for the vellum layers of the flower.

Here is the inside of the card. The flower stamp here is also from Watercolor Words stamp set.

SU new in-colours – round 2

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

I made five monotone cards using the same card layout, but in five different colours. The five colours are Stampin’ Up! 2016-2018 In-colours.

I tried using both cardstock and ink pad on each card. I used various stamp sets, Rose Wonder, Suite Sayings and Watercolor Wings, for the messages; and Papillon Potpourri for the butterflies. I used Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to die-cut the white scribbles underneath the butterflies.

The cards are 4” x 4”. I made envelopes for these cards, but kept decoration very simple.

Flip & Fold mini album – folding steps

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

I received a request on how to fold my flip & fold mini album. The measurements can be found here. I hope these photos help with the folding steps.

This is the layout after joining all four panels.

First fold the bottom, then the top of panels 1 and 3.

Then fold each joint up and down (or hill & valley) alternatively as shown below.

Swirly Scribbles

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

I still enjoy exploring this new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, which I used again on today’s card. I used the new 2016-2018 in-colour, Peekaboo Peach, cardstock as card base.

Cupcakes card

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

I was inspired by a card in Stampin’ Up! 2016-2017 catalogue, which will be available from next month. The card used a new stamp set called Sweet Cupcake, which unfortunately is not available for pre-order. So I used a cupcake stamp I already have in my stock.

The message ‘Celebrate You’ is from Cottage Greetings stamp set and the white background behind the cupcakes was die cut using Swirly Scribbles Thinlits (another new product in 2016-2017 catalogue).

Stampin’ Up! new in-colours

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Canberra

I woke up with joy this morning as I found a brown box sitting in my craft room waiting for me. I got Stampin’ Up! new in-colour ink pads and cardstocks, all beautiful! I got also a new bundle of stamp set and matching thinlits dies. Some of these new products were used on this mother’s day card.

SU new in-colours 1c

The word ‘happy’ is from Endless Birthday Wishes and ‘mother’s day’ from Crazy about You stamp sets.

SU new in-colours 1a

The message on the inside of the card is from a current stamp set called Suite Sayings.
