CASing 2016 Holiday Catalogue

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canberra

I will be off on holiday for about two and a half week from this afternoon. Although I will enjoy the relaxing time away from work, I will surely miss my craft room so I decided to do quick & easy craft projects to say bye to it. The 2016 Holiday catalogue has so many wonderful projects, so I CAS (copy and share) some of them!

I CAS these two cards from page 29. I added coloured cardstock, Real Red in one and Tempting Turquoise in the other, beneath the Sahara Sand piece.

I CAS these Christmas tags from page 4. The catalogue ones used Candy Cane Lane DSP, which I didn’t order, so I used stamps from a few stamp sets to create my own DSP.

Spinning card for Gemma

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canberra

I have seen many cute spinning cards on Pinterest and always wanted to try. Gemma, one of the young members of the team is travelling overseas on a 9 weeks holiday, I thought it would be good to make a spinning card with a girl image moving around the globe for her. Gemma likes bright colours. Here is the card I made to wish her a wonderful trip.

I gave Gemma a journal to record her trip and put it in a gift box that I made – I tried to make the box to somewhat matching with the card and its envelope. Bon Voyage Gemma.

Star shaped cards

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canberra

These are three star shaped cards I made yesterday.

Star shaped cards a

On the blue star, I used Stampin’ Up! Heart Collection Frames framelits dies (retired) for the solid heart at the bottom layer, and Sunshine Wishes dies for the open pink and blue hearts. I added a few little flowers made using Jar of Love bundle.

Star shaped cards b

On the red star, I used the solid hearts left over from the open hearts used on the blue star and added the two ladybirds from Love You Lots hostess stamp set.

Star shaped cards c

For the pink star, I used a stamp called ‘I’m so Jelly’ that I bought last weekend at the Craft & Quilt Fair in Canberra.

The three cards have different looks and I like them all!

Thoughtful branches

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canberra

I’ve made this card for a friend, whose mother will undergo a small operation next week.

Thoughtful branch a

I used Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches bundle to create a hydrangea flower. I die-cut three flowers in Elegant Eggplant (bottom layer), Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White (top layer). I sponged the Whisper White layer with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant and then added glossy accent to give it a shine (and to hide a little mess).

Thoughtful branch b

I decorated the envelope using the leaves from this bundle and added a bird that I die-cut using Birds and Blooms thinlits dies.

Jolly Friends

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canberra

I have made two more Christmas cards. I used a new stamp set called ‘Jolly Friends’ in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.

Jolly friends a

I first made the purplish-greyish card, having the three jolly friends poking out of circle windows. Although I like the card I thought it looks a little crowded. So I made another card longer (8″ long, in blue). I decided to put golden twine with stars attached on the reindeer, instead of a hat.

I hope you find my cards ‘jolly’. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies

Bussakorn Mpelasoka: Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canberra

It is never too early to make Christmas cards as I will need many of them. These are the first two Christmas cards I made this year. I used one of the dies from the brand new Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies set, which will be available next month together with many other wonderful products in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.

Detailed Santa a

The two cards are of the same layout and both shaker frame cards. I wanted to use non-traditional Christmas colours, so I tried one in Flirty Flamingo and the other in bluish DSP. I left the Flirty Flamingo plain, but embossed the bluish DSP with the Woodland embossing folder.
