Kitten card & notepad

By: Bussakorn Mpelasoka

I made these kitten notepads and matching cards to congratulate my team members who recently got promotion.

I used Mama Elephant die set called ‘Favor Bag Accessories: Cat’ and Stampin’ Up! cardstock in Powder Pink, Sahara Sand and Pool Party for the cards and front cover of the note pads.

I used photocopy paper for the notepad sheet and stamped the eyes (Stampin’ Up! Sweet Home), inner ears and heart-shape nose (Stampin’ Up! Best Day Ever) on every sheet, using 36 sheet in each notepad.

Gift tags for cat lovers

This cat gift tag is another project we made last Sunday. I recycled the idea from the little cat gift tags I posted last month, but stepped up a little by using two colours and adding a tail (hand drawn). This cat has white body, Smokey Slate pattern and Regal Rose nose and inner ears. For the pink bow, I used Stampin’ Up! ‘bow builder’ punch.

I also made another two tags, just as examples of ideas. One has white body and Blackberry Bliss pattern.

And the other one has Sahara Sand body and yellowish/whitish pattern (using bokeh technique).

I think they are all cute in their own way. The size of these cat tags is 3″ x 5″. I used Stampin’ Up! sale-a-bration ‘Best Day Ever’ for the nose and inner ears of all three cats.

Here is the measurement for the ears.

Stampin’ Up! New Colours

I found Stampin’ Up! new in-colour (2015-2017) ink pads and cardstock waiting for me when I came home from work on Monday. Usually I do my craft during weekends, but I couldn’t let those pretty colours wait that long so I used them to make quick and easy notecards last night. I took the photos this morning, the light wasn’t that good.

I wanted to use both ink pad and matching cardstock on the same card. I used ‘Best Day Ever’ stamp set for the dot background and ‘An Open Heart’ for the bird. My most favourites would be Watermelon Wonder (red), Mint Macaron (light green) and Tip Top Taupe (light brown/dark tan). What are yours?

Little cat gift tags

By Bussakorn Mpelasoka

A few days ago I saw on the internet a cute cat which looked like either post-it note or journaling card and thought that was cute. This morning I had time to craft so I tried making a few gift tags that look a bit like the cat I saw.

I love using stamps to create background or pattern papers. A few stamp sets in Stampin’ Up! current Occasional Catalogue and the recent sale-a-bration have stamps that I think are good for this purpose. I used a stamp from ‘Sheltering Tree’ on the body of the white cat, from ‘Painted Petals’ for the Vanilla cat and from sale-a-bration ‘Best Day Ever’ for the pink cat. I added a bow (made using Stampin’ Up! ‘Bow Builder’ punch) to each cat.

I chose the Vanilla one with googly eyes for Lynn. I just came back from visiting her, we had a lovely time catching up and had afternoon tea/coffee together. On the way back home it just came into my mind that Lynn is a dog (not a cat) person, a cat gift tag was an awful choice for her. It is too late now and I hope the cat is cute enough that even a dog person wouldn’t mind having it.
